Just a quick announcement that our next Ely Dig Day will be Saturday, June 12th. Please RSVP to southgatetrails@gmail.com if you plan to attend so that we know how many #volunteers we will have and can plan accordingly. We will be cutting in trail from the granite at the top of Ely down to the first trail we have cut in as well as refining the first trail.

Bears Highway - Shaver Lake — Saturday, May 15th, 2021 @ 9:00am
CCORC is partnering with Shaver Lake Volunteers to provide trail management at Shaver Lake. We have adopted Bears Highway trail in cooperation with several mountain bikers who live and ride at Shaver Lake regularly. This will include rebuilding the trail in the burn zone as well as working with SCE to plan improvements to the trail system at various locations around the lake. The first event is trailhead cleanup this Saturday, May 15th at 9am. Meet at the Eastwood Day Use Area (Bikini Cove) and then drive to the work area. The trailhead and surrounding area is pretty trashed from recent heavy use (broken sleds, inflatable tubes, even a boat! and lots of other trash). We will work for a few hours and then ride afterwards.
